John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:5-8
Jesus answered Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh,
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto you, You must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and you hear the sound thereof,
but can't tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth:
so is everyone that is born of the Spirit.
In the original greek ( I have a Greek bible)
born again is actually:
'born from above'
Now, born from above IS being born again,
but just using the words- born again- loses the emphasis of
the SOURCE of being born.
born (verb) from above (preposition or place)
now do you see where being born again originates FROM
it originates FROM GOD
being reborn is a total work of God.
as Jesus said about the wind
you don't know where or when it comes.
you do see the effect and result of the wind or
in this case, since He is doing the comparing, being born again.
You can only SEE and ENTER the kingdom when
He decides you will see and enter.
He is sovereign.
